A great take on the company’s biggest problem. I’m not sure I agree wholeheartedly with his (actually his wife’s) conclusion, though. Yes, iOS and Android showed that Office was not the necessity people had come to think it was—but Microsoft still could have sold a butt-load of copies had they pursued mobile versions and sold it as something better than the alternatives.
