Umm, Congressional Districts Are Roughly the Same Size

The New York Times told readers that: “The median Democratic Congressional district now has a population 11 times as large as the median Republican Congressional district, according to an analysis…

The NYT has updated the article to read, “The median Republican Congressional district now has a population density [emphasis mine] 11 times smaller than the median Democratic district”. They have also issued a correction noting that the initial mistake was due to an editing error. The Center for Economic and Policy Research (the source of the originally linked article) has not, unfortunately, acknowledged said correction.
